FarmWise Terms of Service

By accessing or using FarmWise (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use the Service.

If you use the Service on behalf of a farm, cooperative, or other entity, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

FarmWise is a Progressive Web App (PWA) for farm management designed for African livestock and crop farmers. The Service includes:

• Animal management (pigs, poultry, cattle)
• Task scheduling and calendar
• Health records and financial tracking
• Symptom checker (diagnostic tool)
• Educational blog and FAQ
• Team management with role-based permissions

The Service works offline and syncs data to the cloud when an internet connection is available.

To use the full features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update it as necessary.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for all activities conducted under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. If you are between 16 and 18, you represent that you have permission from your parent or legal guardian.

You agree NOT to:

• Use the Service for any illegal, fraudulent, or harmful purpose.
• Attempt to access other users' data without authorization.
• Upload malicious content, viruses, or harmful scripts.
• Use robots, scrapers, or automation to extract data from the Service.
• Share your account with multiple people (each user must have their own account).
• Reproduce, copy, sell, or resell the Service without authorization.

"User Content" means any data you submit to the Service, including farm records, animal information, health records, financial data, and photos.

You retain all ownership rights to your User Content. By submitting content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable license to host, process, and display it as part of the Service.

You are solely responsible for your User Content. You represent that you have the right to submit this content and that it does not violate the rights of any third party.

You can export your data at any time via Settings > Export. If you delete your account, all your data will be permanently erased from our servers within 30 days.

⚠ IMPORTANT: The symptom checker is a DIAGNOSTIC AID, not a veterinary diagnosis. It does not replace a veterinarian.

The symptom checker ranks possible diseases based on the symptoms you select, but it cannot confirm a diagnosis. For confirmation, you must always:

• Consult a licensed veterinarian
• Send a sample to a laboratory for testing
• Report notifiable diseases to authorities (ASF, Newcastle, etc.)

FarmWise will not be liable for decisions made based on the symptom checker results. Any treatment should be administered under a veterinarian's supervision.

FarmWise offers a free plan with core features (records, tasks, symptom checker). Paid plans add advanced features (multi-user team, advanced reports, multi-farm support).

If you subscribe to a paid plan, you will be billed monthly or annually based on the chosen plan. You can cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

We reserve the right to change pricing for paid plans with 30 days notice. Changes will not affect the current billing period.

FarmWise is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

• FarmWise will not be liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the Service.
• FarmWise will not be liable for data loss resulting from circumstances outside our control (server failure, natural disaster, cyber attack).
• FarmWise's total liability will not exceed the amount you paid in the last 12 months (or USD 50 if you use the free plan).

This limitation does not apply to liability that cannot be excluded by applicable law (e.g., liability for gross negligence or willful misconduct).

You can delete your account at any time via Settings > Account > Delete. Deletion results in all your data being erased within 30 days.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. We will send prior notice (except in cases of serious violation).

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (ownership, limitation of liability, etc.) will continue to apply.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cameroon. Any dispute arising from these Terms will be resolved by the Cameroonian courts, unless applicable law requires another jurisdiction.

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will stay in effect.

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by email or in-app notification at least 30 days before they take effect.

Your continued use of the Service after the new Terms take effect constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree to the changes, you must stop using the Service and delete your account.

The "last updated" date at the top of this page indicates the latest revision.
